The state allows you to add an additional amount from your monthly child allowance, thereby doubling the savings amount deposited for your children each month. This is a short digital action that takes less than five minutes and can significantly change the amount available to the children at age 18.
What do you need to prepare in advance?
- The ID number of the parent who receives the child allowance (in most cases, this is the mother).
- Identifying verification details of your choice, such as the bank account details into which the allowance is deposited, a credit card, a passport, or the ID card issue date.
To carry out the action, go to the Bituach Leumi (ביטוח לאומי) website for the Hisakhon LeKol Yeled (חיסכון לכל ילד; Savings for Every Child) program.
Step-by-step guide
Step 1: enter the service
On the main screen of the Bituach Leumi website, click the green button at the upper right that displays the option "To open savings for a child or double the savings amount."
Step 2: enter the receiving parent’s details
Enter the ID number of the parent who receives the child allowance. Then choose one of the four identification options that is convenient for you—for example, identification using the details of the bank account to which the allowance is transferred—and fill in the requested information. Click "Next."

Step 3: update contact details and select the children
Enter your mobile phone number and email address, and select the checkbox approving the transfer of the details to the managing institution. At this stage, choose whether you want to apply the change to all the children in the family or only to a specific child, and click "Next."
Please note: If you chose the same update for all the children, the system will take you to an intermediate screen where you must click "Next" again.
If you chose the same update for all the children, click "Next" again on the following screen.
Step 4: choose the doubling option
On the savings-program update screen, under the heading for increasing the savings amount, select the checkbox "Deposit an additional 57 shekels for all the children"—or for the specific child you selected. After making the selection, click "Next."
Step 5: approval and declaration
Tick the declaration checkbox confirming the terms, and click "Execute."
Step 6: save the confirmation
The system will display a completion screen confirming that the request was received successfully, together with an identifying number for the action. It is recommended to click "Save confirmation" or print the page for future reference. Finally, click "Finish."
A point to consider: From now on, the additional amount will be deducted automatically each month from your child allowance and transferred directly to the savings. It is important to remember that not every family must make this doubling choice. The financial goal is to improve the children's future without creating difficulty or budgetary pressure on the family's current cash flow.
